A local builder you can trust

Choosing a general contractor for your home is a significant decision. You need a partner who is not only skilled but reliable and invested in your community. PACM was founded on the values of community, craftsmanship, and transparency. We live here, we work here, and we are committed to building a healthier community, one home at a time.

We understand the character of Palo Alto neighborhoods. We have worked on 1920s Craftsmans, classic Eichlers and Mackays, 1950s bungalows, 1990s and newer housing, and new construction. We serve homeowners throughout Palo Alto, Menlo Park, Atherton, Los Altos, and Mountain View.

Our commitment to craftsmanship and quality

Your home should be a place of serenity, a blend of beauty and comfort. We bring an artistic eye and a dedication to precision to every project, with a focus on building performance, thoughtful design, and the careful selection of beautiful, sustainable materials.

  • Improved functionality. Seamless day-to-day routines with optimized kitchen workflows and thoughtful layouts.
  • A beautiful home. Intentional views, clean sight lines, and optimized lighting for a calming, harmonious space.
  • High performance. Better acoustics, air quality, and energy efficiency for a healthier, more comfortable home.
  • Sustainability. Regenerative materials, high-performance appliances, and low-toxin finishes wherever possible.

A transparent and collaborative process

Remodeling can be stressful, which is why transparency is a cornerstone of our business. When you work with PACM you can expect a smooth, surprise-free experience from an attentive, thoughtful contractor that takes your needs to heart.

Our process is straightforward: a written contract with a clear payment schedule and defined milestones, consistent updates, and a reputation for executing well, staying on schedule, and finishing on budget. Read more about how we work together.

Two ways to work with us

As a general contractor, PACM takes single-point responsibility for your kitchen, bathroom, addition, or whole-home remodel.

As your owner’s representative, PACM manages your project on your behalf when you have your own architect and builder, reviewing budgets, schedules, contracts, and quality so a large or complex project lands the way you intended. Learn about owner’s representation.

Licensed, bonded, and insured

Palo Alto Construction Management, Inc. holds California CSLB Class B General Building license #1084397. We carry the state-required contractor bond and comprehensive liability insurance. See the FAQ for details and how to verify.
